Opportunities to Make a Difference

The next year or two will very likely determine whether we're able to cut emissions 50% by 2030 and have a chance at limiting warming to near 1.5 degrees Celsius. Given the stakes, we ALL need to find ways to get involved. A great way to do that is by joining an organization that's driving the necessary political change.

Below are a couple of our favorites.

The Criticality of 2030

Limiting warming to 1.5º Celsius or less means

  • 2030 - reducing emissions by roughly 50%
  • 2050 - achieving net zero

EVs - annual growth rate of 50% between 2015 and 2020

Despite growth of renewables and electric vehicles we are not currently on-track to meet climate targets

Nearly ⅔ of global greenhouse gas emissions can be attributed to U.S., E.U., China, Japan and India

  • China - 30%
  • U.S. - 15%
  • E.U. - 9%
  • India - 7%
  • Japan - 4%
